The Gāyatrī Mantra is renowned worldwide, yet its essence only reveals itself through practice.
Through japa, yantra drawing, and meditation, the mantra’s deeper meaning unfolds. Integrating Gāyatrī into your yoga or spiritual studies enriches both knowledge and experience. It is good to be a friend of the Gāyatrī mantra, it is good to have the Gāyatrī mantra as part of your yoga education, it is good to have the Gāyatrī mantra as part of your traditional education, it is good to learn new concepts and skills through experience, it is good to receive when kindly bestowed.
Gāyatrī mantra in the camp:
- All unfamiliar concepts and postures are explained and demonstrated.
- We hear the most important content of the Sanātana Dharma kotha.
- Recite the Gāyatrī mantra accurately and chant the Gāyatri mantra Vikṛtipāṭha: pada pāṭha, jaṭā pāṭha, kramamālā pāṭha, śikhā pāṭha, etc.- We will explore and reflect on the meaning, explanations and content of each word of the mantra, Anvaya krama - a game of questions, answers and words to know Gāyatrī.
- Participate in the initiation into the Gāyatrī mantra
- Participate in Gāyatrī upāsana practice and fire ceremony
- Compare the legends of creation and the role of Gāyatrī in them. We will investigate to find out where Gāyatri comes from, who has created her and who has revealed her, and in which worlds she is at home. We will do an exercise to invite Gāyatri and expanding
- Transcending vs. immersing, we will practice bijamantra within the Gāyatri mantra.
- Drawing Gāyatri yantra, looking at the meanings of positions, what remains visible and what remains invisible.
- Gāyatri mudras in our hands and creating these forms with our hands, 24 Pūrvagāyatri Mudras, 8 Uttaragāyatri Mudras.
- Let's see what colour is Gāyatri, let's go down into the border of consciousness and subconsciousness.

Accomodation and more:
- sleeping in the big house in the bedrooms with 2-4 beds
- meals - vegetarian food cooked by local chef
- Please bring your own japa mālā; if you don’t have one, you can buy it on site.
- For pūjā and havan ceremonies, please wear traditional Indian clothing (e.g. sari, salwar-kameez, lungi). Garments can also be purchased on site.
All participants will be given materials and later e-learning environment with audio files etc.

My feedback on the mantra board is very positive! Thanks to the organisers!
At the beginning I was a bit hesitant to come or not, because Radha and I learned to recite this mantra once. I wondered if I would find something new in it.
But oh, how much new!
The Gāyatrī mantra has been my protection for quite a number of years. That is, I have recited it before an anxious event-meeting for myself.
After the camp, or rather already during the camp, I realize that there is much more to this mantra than just protection.
After the camp the next morning I would wake up at 7 am with the Gāyatrī mantra pounding in my head. That was the time we recited it in the camp... What else could I do but brush my teeth, take my beaded brush and start. But alone I only got halfway to 108. With a group, the recitation seemed to be much more effective.
Of course, there was incomparably more knowledge to be gained from the theory given by Kärt Mattiisen. Kärt really is - as they say - a born teacher! It's true that you still have to practise with those hand positions to get them flowing.
And Merike Taza's incomparably beautiful voice alone is like listening to overtone music or just a treat 🙂
So far I have been able to recite the mantra every day. The first days half 108 in the morning and the second half in the evening. Yesterday was the first time I got to 108 in one go. Peace in my heart 🙂
Kristjan:Someone once said that the difference between a theoretician and a practitioner is that after the theoretician speaks, nothing much happens, but when you hear the practitioner speak, you want to start practising.
For me, after a summer Gayatri camp, not a day has gone by without me reciting the Gayatri mantra.
That's how powerful the camp and the influence of Gayatri was.
